Barn Buddies is a feral cat/semi feral cat program that offers placement assistance for cats that prefer to not live indoors, yet need a safe, supportive environment to spend their time outside (ie. barn, workshop, garage).

As proud as we are to offer this program to feral/semi feral cats in need, relocation should be a LAST resort for cats... and our program should only be used when all other options have been exhausted.
(e.g.) when TNR (return) is not an option; when indoor life is not an option; when a cat is very feral, etc.

Barn Buddies will accept cats for placement from approved organizations, shelters, and rescues. Please note that we typically have a waitlist for intake cats, so please be prepared to HOLD the cat until a suitable placement can be found. We have limited "holding" spots.

Barn Buddies agrees to dedicate our time and efforts to canvass SAFE, supportive, kind barn owners, willing to FEED, WATER and offer proper shelter to the cats in need. We do not collect any adoption fees from barn owners, but we do require the barn owner to commit to the care of the cat, all year round.

I hereby certify that I am the rightful owner/keeper/caretaker/custodian of the animal(s) who is/are the subject of this Barn Buddies/Intake/Surrender Form. I hereby surrender any and all property rights to the cat. I understand that by surrendering my property rights to the cat, the cat will be transferred into the custody of Barn Buddies. I understand that Barn Buddies will ensure that a proper 3+ week transition period is completed to introduce the cat to the new environment, and that the approved Barn Buddies placement for the cat is SAFE, that the cat will have access to food and water, 24/7, and proper shelter - all year round. I understand that despite all positive efforts made, the cat may, or may not choose to stay at the placement - this is ultimately up to the cat. I understand that while Barn Buddies is more than happy to provide updates if they become available, we cannot commit to regular updates of the surrendered cat and will not respond to request for them. I further certify that I have read and understand the terms of this Barn Buddies Intake/Surrender Form.
